Yesterday, the Hillcrest Key Club and Energy Club teamed up to clean the beaches of the Chicago Lakefront.  The program is called the Great Lakes Action Days sponsored by the Shedd Aquarium and the Chicago Park District. It was an absolutely incredible experience both educational and fun.

Ms. Lopez and Ms. Trench took 25 students, and  they picked up over 300 pounds of garbage on the lakefront at 63rd Street Beach. The team from the Shedd Aquarium praised our kids and were impressed and pleased at how hard our students worked and how much fun they were.

They represented Hillcrest at its best.
