15 May 2017: Congratulations to the boys’ varsity tennis team on their performance at the conference tennis tournament. The team had its highest point total in over 15 years.

Dante Jones took third at first singles while Akiwande Masha-Yarrow and Kabren Williams took 3rd at 1st doubles. State sectionals are Friday.

11 May 2017: The boys varsity tennis team defeated TF United Tuesday 4-1. Leading the way for the Hawks was Akiwande Masha-Yarrow and Kabren Williams at first doubles, Raqeeb Yarrow and John Matthews at second doubles, JD Dean and James Turner at third doubles, and Dante Jones at first singles. The Hawks finished the regular season at 6-6 and play in the conference tournament Thursday.

Jalen Norman proved victorious at first singles for the frosh/soph Hawks.

4 May 2017: Congratulations to the Hawk’s varsity tennis team on their 3-2 win over Morgan Park Academy yesterday. The Hawks swept the doubles competition with Akiwande Masha-Yarrow and Kabren Williams winning at first doubles; John Matthews and James Turner on top at second doubles; and Jibril Dean and Abdul Mohammed completing the sweep at third doubles.

26 April 2017: The Boys’ varsity tennis team ran their winning streak to 4 with a come-from-behind win over Bremen yesterday. John Matthews and James Turner got the comeback going with a win at third doubles. Dante Jones tied it with his own comeback win at first singles and Akiwande Masha-Yarrow and Kabren Williams sealed the deal with a comeback win at first doubles. Jarrett Kenebrew-Campbell also won at singles.

Malik Hall earned his first high school match win at second singles for the frosh-soph team. Congratulations Malik.

25 April 2017: Congratulations to the Boys’ varsity tennis team for their third win in a row, this time defeating Thornwood 3-2. Posting wins for the Hawks were Akiwande Masha-Yaroow and Kabren Williams at first doubles; Raqeeb Yarrow and Jibril Dean at second doubles; and John Matthews and James Turner at third doubles.

21 April 2017: Congratulations to the Boys’ varsity tennis team for their 4-1 win over Shepard yesterday.

Posting wins for the Hawks were Akiwande Masha-Yarrow and Kabren Williams at first doubles; Raqeeb Yarrow and Jibril Dean at second doubles; and John Matthews and James Turner at third doubles. Dante Jones was also victorious at first singles.
