Displaying the blankets they made for the domestic abuse center, students from Hillcrest, Oak Forest, and Bremen continue to contribute to their community.

Hillcrest, Oak Forest and Bremen Parenting/Child Care students participated in the Stewards of Children training given by Advocate Childhood Trauma Treatment program whose main focus is reducing the incidence of childhood sexual abuse.

Students were trained on sexual abuse prevention learning how to recognize signs of abuse and how to be a mandated reporter.

Students also learned how to openly communicate with children about abuse and how to recognize the signs of all areas of abuse.

After the training, the students made blankets for a domestic abuse center.
