Hillcrest’s BPA student recently participated in the Area Leadership Conference at the Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park, Illinois.

The program began with all the school chapter Presidents being introduced from the regional schools and their advisors.  Most importantly, the BPA pledge was said by all members:  “We are met in a spirit of friendship and goodwill as we prepare for careers in a world -class workforce.  We work together to develop professionalism and leadership through Business Professionals of America and pledge our loyalty to our Nation.”

The pledge set the tone for the Keynote speaker—Hillcrest’s very own Siddiqu Muhammad who was introduced by Hillcrest’s President Pierre Tutson.  After introducing Siddiqu, the stage was set for a great presentation given at this Leadership Conference.  Mr. Muhammad interacted with the members and taught them valuable lessons to become successful in life.  Mr. Muhammad truly was very motivational and inspiring!!

The primary purpose of this conference is to introduce all members from the area to kick off the BPA competitive season.  Also, activities were done to develop team building skills, showing the ability to work with individuals that you just met.

All groups were very successful and all schools had a great conference.
