Hillcrest Students See Science in Action

Hillcrest Students See Science in Action

On Thursday, March 16th, Mrs. Molek and Mrs. Cardinal selected six young ladies to represent Hillcrest High School at the Science Careers in Search of Women Expo hosted by Argonne National Laboratories in Lemont, Il.

Participants had the opportunity to tour various lab facilities based on their areas of interest; life sciences, chemical sciences, or physical sciences. One these tours, the young ladies were able to witness a day in the life of a scientist at Argonne. Several scientists were also on hand to explain their areas of study, the paths that led them to pursue their career choices, and even give demonstrations of their work.
