Saturday Before Game
Hawks were getting prepared for this highly anticipated game. In need in vengeance from a loss in the Thanksgiving Tournament against Marian Catholic 64-61, the Hawks were hungry to redeem themselves. That Saturday morning the Hawks were treated like celebs by their Jordan sponsor. Captain Bobby Harvey Stated, “It’s a fun experience – just gotta follow through with it and get the win, or else none of this will matter.” The Hawks ate healthy, did yoga, and were introduced to these nice new Jordan uniforms.

Later that night the Hawks went to a restaurant with ping pong and had lots of interactive fun with the other teams. The Hawks had the place jumping with their dancing and their act of having fun.

Game Day
The Hawks were prepared and ready; they were the first game starting at 3‍. As they got there, there were flashing cameras and reporters. Coach Houston stated, “The glamour and lights are fun for the kids to enjoy and have an experience with.” As they prepared for the game, the Hawks put on game faces: no smiles, just faces of head hunters. Warming up for the game there were lights, a big screen, and smoke; the Hawks were even introduced with a commercial.

The Hawks started off the game very strong going 15-4 in the first 3 minutes of game. Jalen Hughes and Bobby Harvey were on fire from 3. Not too fast, the tough Scanlan team bullied their way back up close ending the first quarter 21-16. The Hawks couldn’t stop hitting 3’s; Bobby Harvey and Jalen Hughes combined for 27 points. At the half, the Hawks were up 36-27. The Hawks were supported by their Blue Crew and cheerleaders.

The Hawks buried Scanlan by the end of the third quarter ending the game 70-57. Jalen Hughes had 21 and Bobby Harvey had 25. After the game, the Hawks were chased around by kids who asked for autographs like they were big-time superstars in the NBA. Co-Captain Jalen Hughes stated, “We just gotta keep working; we’re still not satisfied with where we [are].”

Whitney Young Vs Fenwick

#1 Findlay Prep vs Morgan Park
The last game of the day was played with almost a dozen Division 1 Basketball players on the court. Findlay Prep led by #3 player in nation Bol Bol(Oregon Commit). Against Ayo Dosunmu(Illinois Commit). The game was highly intense as the Morgan Park Mustangs came out hitting 3’s like it was nothing. Bol Bol a 7’3 center didn’t let anything get in the paint as he ran the floor not like 7 footer finishing dunks and easy layups. Findlay Prep took away the game in the 4th quarter going up 9 with 2:36 seconds left. They won the game 78-65. Bol Bol finished with 30 points 12-13 from the floor, and Ayo Dosunmu 18 Points.
