A really good movie that I saw not too long ago and really love was called Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. The Scorch Trials is the second movie that was made in The Maze Runner series.  The movie’s plot was about a bunch of teenagers referred to as gladers who have successfully escaped the maze who now have to face a new set challenges on the open roads of a desolate landscape filled with different types of obstacles. Rescued right after making the escape from the maze, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien), Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), Minho (Ki Hong Lee), Teresa Agnes (Kaya Scodelario), Frypan (Dexter Darden) and Winston (Alexander Flores) find themselves in trouble after uncovering a diabolical plot from the mysterious and powerful organization WCKD (World Catastrophe Killzone Department).

In the protected facility they were taken to after being rescued, they meet other survivors from other mazes and learn that every day, a group of teenagers is summoned to be lodged in farms and communities in safe areas, but Thomas decides to investigate it with the help of a friend Aris Jones (Jacob Lofland) and finds out the place they’re in is not what they think it is. During the investigation, they also find that the place they were taken to once they got rescued is a WCKD facility and Ava Paige (Patricia Clarkson) is alive. Finding out all of the bad information they did during the investigation with help from a new ally, the Gladers successfully makes a risky escape into the Scorch hoping to find the Right Hand, a group of resistance fighters who can help them battle WCKD. Along their journey, they find a destroyed, post-apocalyptic world; they meet Cranks, zombies infected by the Flare virus; they sustain the loss of a friend; they face a lethal lightning storm in the desert and a dangerous group of survivors; and they are betrayed by a friend.

I myself enjoyed the film a lot! There were a lot of sad parts in it where I some of the Gladers die trying to face some of the challenges they had to face. Even though this movie came out three years ago, you should really watch it if you like movies like The Hunger Games series and Divergent series because they have many similarities with each other. Plus, the last movie to the Maze Runner Series just came out in January, so you won’t have to wait to see what happens when you get done watching The Scorch Trials.

Overall, I highly recommend you watch this film because it is a really good movie, and it’ll have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what’ll happen next. So go get your favorite snacks and go watch the Maze Runner series right now!
