When it comes to love? I think about The Notebook. If I had to describe what love should look and feel like, I would refer to the movie. Passion and genuine love is what I get out of the movie.
The movie The Notebook is about two young children trying to learn love and experiencing real love for the first time. They face challenges and difficulties in the relationship. With the young lady, Ally, growing up with money and being fortunate, her parents don’t approve of Noah because he has a job and works hard for what he has. Ally’s parents think of him as more of a low life person.
Another obstacle that they faced was Ally going away for college. Unfortunately, Noah isn’t really fortunate enough to pay for school. With problems forming and coming about in their relationship, it caused them to go their separate ways. During the time they spent together, Noah would always ask Ally, “what do you want?” The infamous line is famous and memorable because based on her answer, he built her ideal dream house. Ally said “I want a white house with blue shutters and a room overlooking the river, so I can paint. I want a big whole porch wrapped around the entire house.” Noah promised that he would build her dream house for her and which he did, during the time of their separation.
After the separation, Ally found someone new and was almost about to get married to him until she found her way back to Noah. She saw Noah in the headlines of a newspaper article for building a house: her dream house. They eventually rekindled their relationship and grew old together. Sadly, Ally suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, but Noah never forgot about her. He came to the care home every day to read her their love story until she remembered. By the time she remembered, Ally passed away and Noah knew he had to go with her. They passed away together happily.
I recommend every teenager or even an adult if they haven’t already, to watch the movie or read the book. I watched The Notebook once and never stopped. The Notebook is by far my favorite movie and every time I picture love, I will forever think of The Notebook.
