Music

Music

If I could describe music in one word it would have to be healing. For me music speaks volumes that sometimes you can’t even put into words, and it creates a universal language that never needs to be learned because it’s already understood. Music is so diverse and there is something for everyone. It has a way of bringing people together, and  Listening to music and hearing the beat to the lyrics the artist is singing is something that cannot be fathomed. Music has a sense of togetherness and a way of bringing people together, and creating a way people can relate to each other. Music is deeply rooted with emotions that can create a deep connection to the music and the listener.

Music has such a powerful impact on our world; have you ever listened to music, and instantly think of a core memory good or bad. You hear the music and quickly think of something in your past or reminisce on major times in your life. One music can remind you of your childhood, and feel nostalgic at some point. I look at music as my comfort animal. It can help me in any mood I’m in: happy, sad, angry, or just deep in my thoughts. Music has a way of describing things that I can comprehend with my own words.

Music can also send messages and create change. For example, the song bigger picture by Lil Baby started an upward trend because he talked about all the uncomfortable situations that were going on in our world at the time. During this time a African American man named Frank Tyson lost his life due to police brutality, and Lil baby found a way to reach out to the people, and also make such a terrible situation positive. There were protests and support groups, and so much more and all this happened because someone spoke out through music.

Music has such a powerful impact on us that I don’t even think most people realize music can influence emotion, decisions , and life. It’s amazing how something that seems so simple has such an amazing influence on us, good and bad. I feel some artists have to be careful what they put out there because of how big of an influence music has on people, especially young kids. Artists can also make music that uplifts people, and creates an outlet for people to relate to when going through things no matter the situation. Music is a source of power that many people look past. Many people think it is just lyrics and sound, but the hold it has on so many people is astounding.
