Congratulations to Destiney Robinson, Tayla Jones and Destiny Herron for qualifying for state through Business Professionals of America. The competition these three ladies had entered was Broadcast News Production Team. Going to competition two days in advance from the rest of the Business Professionals of America Class, these ladies competed against three other teams for the first place spot.

The Broadcast News Production Team is required to create a three to five (3-5) minute news broadcast, containing two (2) different segments (news stories). One news segment should be a live feature story and the other news segment on a human interest story; a separate video file containing a fifteen-to-twenty (15-20) second promo/tease should also be created. The topic this year was to include one news segment that should be a live feature story and the other news segment on a human interest story. Luckily, the ladies nailed the topic head-on with their broadcast they created.

Winning first place, Destiney Robinson, Tayla Jones, and Destiny Herron will be attending the state competition March 1st to the 3rd. On that Friday, the ladies will compete in the rest of their events with the rest of the Business Professionals of America class. Even though no one else qualified, everyone gave their best efforts and placed high in their categories.

We gladly wish Destiney Robinson, Tayla Jones and Destiny Herron good luck at state. On behalf of the Business Professionals of America class, we all know you will do well and we hope that you all qualify for Nationals.
