Hillcrest Library Hosts Event in Advance of ‘4 in 4’ Book Club

On Monday, December 3rd the Hillcrest High School Library hosted ‘Test Your Humanity: Exploring Inhuman (by Kat Falls)’ Teen Reading Event.” This after-school event was a prequel to the ‘4 in 4’ District 228 Foundation Grant Book Club that will start early in the second semester.

During this event 20 students were involved in designing ‘Manimal Masks’ and completing a ‘Savage Zone’ scavenger hunt. Students Vanessa Hobson, Cameron Hill, and Ariyana Scott won McDonald’s gift cards by creating the most creative masks and completing the scavenger hunt first.

The ‘4 in 4’ District 228 Foundation Grant Book Club will start soon after the holidays. The book, Inhuman by Kat Falls, will be the book club selection. As students read this selection they will be able to participate in additional after-school book themed events.
