“We did it, Joe. You’re going to be the next President of the United States.” Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States, told Joseph Biden, our newfound President, as we skipped to the finish line. The race was running close, but Biden won over the Penn and Peach State and predetermined his victory. This Biden victory of course didn’t settle well with everyone. Republicans and Trump supporters, as well as the rest of the world, had something to say regarding their astonishment or disappointment.

That Was Unfair, Man!

Donald Trump’s view on his current loss was that votes were invalid and many were miscounted. He’s allegations were baseless and not proven true. Yet, he still has his team playing the field. According to AP News, Trump proposed he take legal action because of his inappropriate loss to Biden, “making an aggressive pitch for donors to help finance any court fight.” Trump’s truth is yet to be shown accurately but regardless of losing the presidency, his supporters stand alongside him.

Some top Republicans are actually defending Trump’s proposition. According to NPR WBEZ Chicago, George W. Bush is validating Trump’s litigations. “President Trump has the right to request recounts and pursue legal challenges, and any unresolved issues will be properly adjudicated. The American people can have confidence that this election was fundamentally fair, its integrity will be upheld, and its outcome is clear.” Another similar view was presented by House Minority Whip Steve Scalise on Twitter. Scalise tweeted, “The election isn’t over until all legal votes are counted and certified. There are still serious legal challenges that have been made, and until that process is resolved, the election is not final.”

Alright Now… Just Move On.

Democrats, as well as many republicans and or Trump supporters, don’t condone the voter fraud theory. Officials say that Trump’s push to voter fraud is a way to cope with his kicking out of his high seat at the White House. Even those on Trump’s team are suggesting he let go and move on. Utah Senator, Mitt Romney, a former Republican presidential nominee, stated a public opinion that it is preferred for Trump to exit gracefully. “He is who he is and he has a relatively relaxed relationship with the truth, and so he’s going to keep on fighting until the very end. But I’m convinced that once all remedies have been exhausted, if those are exhausted in a way that’s not favorable to him, he will accept the inevitable.” Romney also tweeted a strong message consisting of, “He is wrong to say that the election was rigged, corrupt and stolen — doing so damages the cause of freedom here and around the world, weakens the institutions that lie at the foundation of the Republican, and recklessly inflames destructive and dangerous passions.”

Joe What’s Happenin’?

President Biden has plans for the United States to help turn the damage into diamonds. He plans to attack the pandemic, confront climate change, and update the foreign policy. These three issues are MAJOR, and often concealed as though they are unimportant. Knowing that Biden finds these problems top-tier, should heighten society’s outlook. According to ScienceMag, “Biden has made confronting the pandemic the centerpiece of his presidential campaign. On his first day, Biden has promised to “stop the political theater and willful misinformation that has heightened confusion and discrimination,” hold daily briefings that “put scientists and public health leaders front and center,” and ensure that government scientists “do not fear retribution or public disparagement for performing their jobs.” He’s also pledged to rejoin the World Health Organization and boost funding for its pandemic efforts.” This Coronavirus pandemic has been seemingly leading the world into a downward spiral. Biden is ready to plug the black hole. Speaking of black holes, climate change only continues to diminish the ecological value of the earth. “Biden advisers say climate change is one of “the four crises” he will put a priority on addressing. (The others are the pandemic, the economy, and racial injustice.)” He “wants the United States to cease to be a net emitter of greenhouse gases by 2050, and the federal government to invest at least $1.7 trillion over 10 years in clean energy technologies.” Biden also wants to improve the United States communications with other nations.

Biden is ready for change. Aren’t you?
