The Hillcrest Girls Cross Country teams placed 6th at the South Suburban Blue Conference Championships Saturday October 18, 2014 at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, Il.

The Varsity team had strong performances from Tia Alexander and Taraji Stevens running their personal best times and earning All-Conference honors.  Also running for the junior/ seniors was Joshulyn  Shepard, Denishya Waller, Yaa Asante and Aaleyah Brown.

At the freshmen/sophomore level the Hawks were led by Jasmine Curry earning All-Conference honors placing 7^th.  Other outstanding efforts were turned in by several runners, they included Coy Jones, Tasia Small, Kyla Wembly, Christina-Vega- Allen and Delois Ivery.

The Hawks will compete in the  regional Championship race on Saturday, October 25.
