Hillcrest Teachers Visit Google

Hillcrest+Teachers+Visit+Google

Hillcrest Teachers David Braden, Kinya Jett and Darlene Jackson had a tremendous experience visiting Google in Chicago with other Business teachers in the District.  The experience was truly amazing–meeting top Googlers, even meeting the individual that created G-Mail one of Google’s biggest creations–G-Mail was created as a side product by a team of Google employees.  Meeting with many different Googlers, Hillcrest teachers learned that teamwork is a most important business. It was obvious that Google takes great care of their employees–games, lounge chairs, special offices and even feeding their employee’s morning and noon with gourmet meals.

At Google, we don’t just accept difference—we celebrate it, we support it, and we thrive on it…

— Google Motto

The teachers had discussions on how to improve classes using some of Google’s products–especially for Marketing and Entrepreneurship classes.  The links and advice were very exciting and will be helpful in bringing new ideas to the classroom.

Mr. Braden said, “By far the BEST institute day  that I have been to since I have been in the District!”
