On Tuesday, November 28, 2017 teacher Ms. Kara Bucci became the new BHSD228 Educational Foundation President.  Also during Tuesday’s Foundation meeting, Armoni Grant became the first, and currently the only, Student Board Member to serve on the Educational Foundation. Armoni is a junior at Hillcrest High School and will serve a one year term as an Educational Foundation Student Board Member.

Foundation Board Members serve as volunteers to help secure and provide funds to support and promote the educational programs and activities of BHSD228 students. To do this, the Foundation provides mini-grants of up to $1,000 for a variety of classroom and district-wide projects that enhance the curriculum and enlighten students. Projects that have ‘lived on’ include books, software, technology and equipment.
